The Eco-Friendly Initiative in Beer Brewing

With the increasing pollution and the problem of green house, the world is busy looking for a mean to save their environment. You would find it difficult to put together the words eco-friendly and beer in the same sentence, but it is pretty true. Breweries around the world are helping to make it happen. They are making small changes to pay their contribution to this venture of cleaning our environment. They are changing the way how they power their facility, package their components they use or sell and investing in the environment-friendly practices. A growing number of breweries are making sustainability a priority in how they do their business.

Breweries Sonoma County do assessment of their brewing processes to analyse various materials and energy used at each stage of brewing. This practice has led to an impressive feat – more and more set-ups are producing fewer emissions than those produced in the past years.

Some set-ups are also tackling energy conservation by some means – they are also producing methane gas to power the factory. In doing so, they put the water waste from the brewing process in enclosed pools with anaerobic bacteria. The bacteria feed on the nutrient rich water and produce gas to meet the power demands.

In addition to this, breweries in Sonoma County are also trying various practices to lower their energy consumption by using alternate resources. They are using energy from an upstate wind farm to prevent the carbon dioxide emission in the atmosphere.

This energy conservation initiative is also taken well by Third Street Aleworks, one of the best breweries in Sonoma County. We make sure all our processes save energy and protect environment.
